Zerolemon releases 8,500mAh battery for the LG G4
While the handset already comes out of the box with a 3,000 mAh battery, it still might not be enough for heavy users to last them through an entire day, seeing as the device comes with an ultra-high-resolution display panel (QHD, 2560 x 1440) and a resource heavy hexa-core processor as part of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 chipset. This is where ZeroLemon comes in. ZeroLemon, which is well known for producing aftermarket batteries and other power related products for mobile devices, has now come up with a new 8,500mAh battery for LG’s latest flagship, which is sure to catch the attention of users who often find themselves having to fiddle with the charger halfway through the day – on a daily basis.
Zerolemon had to add button on the back of its custom case to allow normal operation of the phone. The increased size of the battery along with the custom case, means that users will have to deal with exactly 23 grams of extra heft, seeing as the phone’s weight will go up from the original 155 grams to 178 grams, post the enhancement. The phone will also get significantly chunkier with the addition of the case, what with its thickness going up from 9.8 mm to 21.3 mm. According to ZeroLemon, case is made out of soft-touch plastic, and the new 8,500 mAh battery takes around two to three hours to charge fully.
The battery (including the case) is now up for sale on Amazon at $60.
