Zenfone Selfie for the Selfie crazy nation
Selfie is a new word that was added to the Oxford dictionary last year and thanks to the social media, it is gaining popularity day by day. I thought it would be a fad, but it is here to stay. Asus launched the Zenfone Selfie with a 13 MP front and 13 MP rear facing camera. Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha was roped in to launch the device at the Jawarharlal Nehru Indoor staduim, Delhi on August 6th. The pretty Sonakshi Sinha said she was lucky to be the first owner of the Zenfone Selfie and Selfie are very popular among all age groups. She also mentioned that she saw a man take a selfie with a tree in Juhu beach. Yes, that how crazy the selfie addiction is.
The device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 wth 4 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz and 4 cores at 1 GHz. It has the Adreno 405 for GPU and also 3 GB of RAM. The front and the rear camera are 13 MP camera with dual tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera has Laser autofocus. The camera UI is backed by Asus’ home grown PixelMaster technology. It has a few tricks up its sleeve like the low light mode, Selfie Panorama mode, HDR mode, beautification mode and also manual mode. At a price of Rs 15999, it may be a bit overpriced for its specifications. We will have to wait for the review unit and comment if it is really worth to flaunt the Zenfone Selfie
