Your favourite app is not holofied? you may find it here
Uniform user interface across the OS and apps is something that iOS really excels at and one that Android, even to this day, struggles to achieve. Google released Holo user interface with 4.0 version of Android so that Android applications will have uniform interface. Many developers are yet to embrace Holo UI. Many like me would any give day prefer an application designed based on Holo UI guidelines than using an application that is designed without uniformity and clarity. Problem is that there are countless such apps that does not follow Holo and there are many apps from top publishers that does not follow these guidelines. Holofication Nation is a project started by UK based development firm to bring such apps under Holo’s umbrella. As a user, you can install Holofication Nation application and download ‘holofied’ apps (do note that the catalogue is tiny as of now) that are made available by modders. Before trying such apps, you have to make sure that the original app is uninstalled. For example, to install CNN app via Holofication Nation, you first uninstall CNN app on your Android device (if you have one), download the app from HN and install on your device. If you think that an application that you use is not based on Holo and needs a Holofied variant, you can submit your request from http://holonation.co.uk/contact.html. As of now, modding any apps that are paid, are already holo, or with less than 100,000 installs on Google Play will not be accepted. Right now, only Instagram, Grooveshark and Steam applications are available for download and they do look good. We havent tested these applications completely and we are not sure how stable they are.
