YotaPhone 2 announced, comes with two displays and Android KitKat
YotaPhone has announced the second version of its unique phone, and it’s called the YotaPhone 2. Sporting a normal full HD display on the front and an eInk display on the back, the YotaPhone is as unique as a phone can get without being outright absurd. Sure, the second display thing sounds a bit absurd, but it’s not as absurd as say, the Galaxy Round.
The YotaPhone 2 comes with two displays, runs Android 4.4 KitKat (looks like it’s going to be stock Android), has a Snapdragon 800 2.2 GHz quad core processor and has an 8 MP camera on the back.
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 5.0” full HD AMOLED display, 1920×1080 pixels, ~441 PPI; 4.7” Electronic Ink paper display, 960×540 pixels
- 2.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Adreno 330 GPU
- 8 MP camera, LED flash, 1080p @ 30 FPS; front facing 2.1 MP camera
- 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory
- Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, NFC, Wireless charging
- 2,500 mAh battery
The YotaPhone 2 comes as a massive improvement over the first YotaPhone, both looks and specs wise. Now whether it’ll be made available more widely remains to be seen. Would you buy one? It certainly seems intriguing to me.
