Xiaomi launches Yi Action Camera 2 with 4K support
Xiaomi had last year launched the Yi Action camera for a very low price of CNY 399. Now, it has launched its successor, the Yi Action Camera 2. This has been priced at CNY 1,199 and is available to pre-order from third party retailers.
The Yi Action Camera 2 is priced three times more than its predecessor. The camera is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps, full-HD videos at 120fps and HD videos at 240fps. There is a 6-axis gyroscope with electronic image stabilisation.
The Yi Action Camera 2 features a 12-megapixel Sony IMX377 sensor with f/2.8 aperture and 155-degree wide viewing angle. The device comes with a 2.19-inch display on the rear side with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display has a pixel density of ~330ppi.
The Yi Action Camera 2 is powered by a 1400mAh battery that can record 2 hours of 4K video with 30 FPS. The device comes with microSD card slot and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.
Pricing and Availability
The Yi 4K will come in Black, White and Pink colours and is priced at CNY 1199. It comes along with a Bluetooth remote and selfie stick for CNY 1299.
