For some, there are some files/contacts/messages that they prefer to be hidden from prying eyes. Open Files application. Swipe down slowly so that you can to see ‘Privacy’ icon and then release to open hidden folders/files.
If this is the first time you are accessing this, you will be asked to create a pattern based security lock. Once done, every time you go to privacy mode, you need to provide the authentication. You should now see a list of files that are hidden.
From here you can add new files to hide. For files that are already there, you can long press to unhide or delete or cut and move to another folder.
To add a new file, tap on hamburger menu (top right corner), select Add files.
For messages, click on ‘settings’ at the bottom.
Click on ‘Add private contact’. Once a contact is added all the messages from that contact will be hidden and in private mode. You can also opt not to get notifications for contacts in this mode.
