Xiaomi Mi Band 2 Launched In India For Rs. 1,999
Xiaomi announced the launch of the Mi Band 2 in India today at a price of Rs. 1,999. The new fitness tracker from Xiaomi comes with a range of improvements over the original Mi Band, including an OLED display.
Xiaomi had previously launched the Mi Band and Mi Band Pulse in India. Xiaomi’s biggest talking points about the new Mi Band 2 include the 0.42 inch OLED display and 4 times more battery life than similar trackers from other competitors.

The OLED display can be used to display the time, the number of steps you have taken and an estimated heart rate. Below the display, there is a button you can press to make these stats visible. Additionally, you can also use the Mi Fit app to set the Mi Band 2 to display the time and steps when you lift the band.
Apart from the OLED display, Xiaomi has also improved the internals and the externals of the band. The company has used an improved material for the wrist band to make it more skin friendly. It also grips better on your wrists now, thanks to a few changes in the design. IP67 rating remains the same as you’ve seen on the Mi Band and Mi Band Pulse.
On the software front, Xiaomi has improved the pedometer algorithm for delivering more accurate heart rate, steps and sleep data. Additionally, the Mi Fit app can be set to notify you when you have been inactive for a long time. The Mi Fit app can also be set to notify you about reminders, alarms, incoming calls as well as messages.

Mi Band 2 will be available on Mi.com from 27 September at INR 1,999. It will also be available on Amazon from 30 September.
