Xiaomi ends Flipkart exclusivity, adds Amazon India and Snapdeal as online sales partners
Xiaomi, the Chinese giant which introduced the Indian smartphone industry to flash sales and played a big role in getting people to buy phones online, has ended its Flipkart exclusivity. The company today announced that it will start selling its products not only on its own online store, but even on Amazon India and Snapdeal.
Products like the Xiaomi Mi 4, Redmi 2, Redmi Note 4G (already available offline via Airtel) and the Mi Pad will be available for purchase via Amazon.in and Snapdeal. However, the company will not stop selling via Flipkart, its first online sales partner in India.
Apart from the two new online sales partners and one existing online sales partner, Xiaomi has also partnered with The Mobile Store to begin selling its products in the offline market. So, in total, Xiaomi has tied up with 5 sales partners across two channels – Online via Flipkart, Amazon.in and Snapdeal, and Offline via Airtel and The Mobile Store.
Apart from these five sales partners, the company also has its own online store where it sells some accessories.
Xiaomi is also turning five today and to celebrate this, the company announced a couple of offers.
- The Xiaomi Mi 4 will be available at a INR 2000 discount. The 16 GB version will cost INR 17,999 and the 64 GB version will cost INR 21,999. This is a limited period offer, applicable only on the 8th April from 12 PM to 12 AM.
- With every purchase of the Redmi Note 4G, you will get either a pair of Mi In-ear headphones or a 5200 mAh Mi Powerbank.
