W_O_L_F on XDA releases custom ROM for ATIV S Windows Phone
Do note that this is not a fully cooked ROM and if you have a Samsung ATIV S, try this at your own risk and do expect lot of bugs. Moreover, we don’t think a custom ROM for Windows Phone is not yet necessary (given the lack of 3rd party app store like Cydia on iOS).Wolf, a member of popular XDA Developers forum managed to cook a custom ROM based on a Windows Phone ROM for Samsung ATIV S. This ROM will work only on ATIV S and those using other Windows Phones should NOT try installing this ROM. Listed below is the featureset added to this ROM. Features:
- Unlock / Interop Unlock / Relock prevent
- Volume limit disabled
- No prepinned tiles of Samsung apps
- Some of Samsung apps removed
- Full access to APNs and Internet Sharing
- Two search providers: Yandex and Google. Both can launch its app from search key (if app is installed).
