Windows 10 Technical Preview now available for testing
At its Windows 10 event held last week, Microsoft had announced that an updated version of Technical Preview, with some of the new features that the company unveiled at the event, will be available for testing next week. However, the company has made the preview build available earlier than announced.
The new build comes with these changes:
- Addition of Cortana, but available only in English (US) for now
- Start Menu tweaks and other UI changes
- A new XBox app
- Microsoft’s Continuum interface for tablets, optimized for touchscreens
What’s not there yet:
- XBox One games streaming
- Spartan browser, possibly a replacement of Internet Explorer in the long term
Microsoft will be adding these two missing features sooner rather than later in these test builds. The updated Technical Preview build is available in the form of ISOs as well, in case you want to go that way. Or, you can go sign up for the Windows Insider program for more insights into future Windows releases.
