Western Digital announce My Passport Wireless Pro drives

WD My Passport Wireless Pro Wi-Fi and My Cloud Pro Series NAS are new high speed and high reliability hard drives from Western Digital Corporation, part of WD Pro series. Western Digital has also launched new version of My Cloud mobile application. My Passport Wireless Pro Wi-Fi mobile storage is available today in the WD store at wdstore.com and at select retailers, including Amazon.com and distributors, with price tag ranging from $229.99 up to $249.99 depending on capacity. My Cloud Pro Series NAS devices are available at Amazon, B&H and the WD Store, with price tag ranging from $399.99 up to $1,649.99 depending on configuration and capacity. The diskless variant comes with a 2 year limited warranty while the one with built in hard drives come with 3 year warranty.

Western Digital My Passport Wireless Pro comes with built in Wi-Fi connection and can be connected to network cameras, backup stream/files from cameras automatically and users can access the files (save, edit and transfer data) seamlessly from up to eight other devices. The drive also has built in SD card reader and a USB 2.0 port. WD My Passport Wireless Pro will be available in capacities up to 3TB and thanks to built in battery pack, can stay online for up to 10 hours. The built in battery can also charge phones or other devices connected to the drive. Thanks to compatibility with Adobe’s Creative Cloud and Plex Media Server, users can do photo/video editing on the go and play up to four streams of media on the go.

Western Digital My Cloud Pro Series network attached storage can hold up to 32TB of storage and comes with one touch backup button to backup data from camera, memory card readers etc. Like Wireless Pro, the My Cloud Pro NAS also came with Plex Media Server and Adobe Creative Cloud server support.
