There are lot of applications that you can use to book tickets (flight, hotels etc). Makemytrip, Goibibo, redbus are a few such applications that have a direct tie up and book your tickets. Video explaining featureset
On opening the application, you have to pick hotel booking or flight booking and you will also see your recent searches so that you can continue the search from where you left. Once you pick an option (flight or hotel), you get the usual form (desination, source, budget, blah blah) and based on your input, you get the listing of flights or hotels. From the listing, you can setup price alerts and get notified when the price drops. This is definitely a very useful feature if you are not in a hurry to book tickets. For setting up price alert, you have to provide origin, destination, fixed or flexible dates, depart and return dates, maximum budget etc and frequency of checks.
There are wide range of filters but the speed of search is a bit slower when compared to that of Makemytrip. This is understandable as Wego has to search across hundreds of travel sites for each flight and hotel operator but Makemytrip will only search their own database for partner flight and hotel operators.
Once you pick an airline or hotel, you get listing of best prices (from top sites). You are redirected to the respective page once you confirm the travel site that you think is the best choice for you. The problem here is that sometimes, the text is all over the place as the app is trying to open the ‘web UI’ of some sites. Otherwise, the app works exceptionally well.
I do recommend you all to give Wego application a try. I always go to makemytrip to book flight tickets as I am too lazy to go through dozens of sites to search for best price but from now on, I will be going through Wego as I save lot of time and money by using such price aggregator.
