Vivo X5 Max, at 4.75mm is the world’s thinnest smartphone
Not even few weeks since Oppo R5 took world’s thinnest phone recprd. we now have a new phone that is just 4.75mm thick and it is from a relatively unknown brand Vivo. Named X5 Max, the new smartphone will be released to Chinese market on 22nd of December for 2,998 Yen. Good to see that Vivo managed to squeeze in a standard 3.5mm audio port and a 13mp rear facing camera (Sony IMX214 sensor). X5 Max will come pre-loaded with Android 4.4.4 operating system with Funtouch 2.0 overlay software.
X5 Max is powered by Snapdragon 615 chipset (1.7GHz quad core Cortex A53 CPU) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB on onboard flash storage. The phone takes nano-SIM cards (dual SIM card slots) for network and microSD card slots for memory expansion. Display is a 5.5” Super AMOLED panel with FullHD 1080p resolution.X5 Max comes with display panel that is just 1.36mm thin which is, well, incredibly awesome feat.
There is a 5mp front facing camera which would please selfie addicts and a Yamaha YSS-205X audio chip for karaoke lovers.
