Vivo V5 Plus To Launch In India On January 23
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has confirmed the launch date of its Selfie-centric smartphone, the V5 Plus. The device will be launched in India on January 23. The company has started sending out media invites for the event. Vivo had earlier launched the Vivo V5 in India for Rs. 17,980.
Vivo aims to target the Selfie crazy crowd with its Selfie-centric devices. The V5 Plus will feature dual selfie cameras. Vivo claims that the V5 Plus will be the first device with dual selfie camera.
While we do not know about the hardware specifications of the device, we expect it to be similar to the Vivo V5. Considering the pricing of the V5, the V5 Plus is expected to be priced above Rs. 20,000. Let’s take a look at Vivo V5’s Specs.
Vivo V5 Specs
The Vivo V5 runs on Vivo’s FunTouch OS 2.6 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device features a 5.5 inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device comes with a pixel density of ~294 PPI.
The Vivo V5 is powered by an Octa-core 1.5 GHz Mediatek MT6750 clubbed with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

The Vivo V5 features a 13 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. The camera comes with features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. On the front, the device sports a 20 MP selfie camera with moonlight flash and f/2.0 aperture. The moonlight flash aims to reduce strain on eyes while clicking selfies.
