Vivo V11 Pro launched and here is our first impression

Vivo V11 Pro is finally official today. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, the V11 Pro comes with a 6.41″ FullHD display and has a 12mp+5mp dual camera set up at the back. V11 Pro will come in 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, priced at INR 25,999/-. Vivo V11 Pro will be available in white, black and blue colour options. One of the key features of V11 Pro is the under display fingerprint scanner and another good selling point is the tiny notch.

Vivo V11 Pro is going to go head-on against likes of Zenfone 5Z and Poco F1. The phone comes with a teardrop-shaped notch that takes far less space compared to notches that we have been seeing these days on Android phones. There are three slots, two for Nano-SIM cards and one for microSD card. The display is 6.41″ in size and has FullHD super AMOLED panel. Vivo V11 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. To unlock the phone, you can use iPhone X like face unlock tool or use under display fingerprint scanner.

First Impressions

Vivo V11 Pro has a unique design and some engineering innovation built into it. The very fact that it has managed to shrink the earpiece, proximity sensor, and an IR sensor into a small 1 mm gap between the display and the frame, is the highlight of this device. The notch is very small and it is shaped like a drop. It has only the front camera in it and it does not come in between the interactions of the viewing experience, unlike the conventional notch design. The mobile is made of polycarbonate and the finishing is shiny and looks like glass. The material can get scratched unless you protect it with a good case. It is lightweight and has a good feel in the hand while holding and operating it. 

The mobile has impressive hardware. Snapdragon 660 is a power efficient and process intensive processor. I played a bunch of resource heavy games on it and the gameplay was smooth. PUBG default was mid-graphics. The mobile has no lag or frame drop while using apps and games.

The camera on the mobile can click images with some good details. The front camera can also click some impressive shots. But under low light, the avoid the noise, the app processes the images to give you a smooth shot. This get rids of details and we end up with an image which is not very sharp. But this is much better than a grainy image. The images are bright and the colors are accurate at all lighting conditions. The mobile has just a micro-USB port. Yet the charging speed is impressive. It gets charged from 0 to 100% in 80 minutes. Overall, the V11 Pro is a huge upgrade from its predecessor, the V9. It inherits a lot of goodness from its bigger cousin the Vivo Nex.
