Find my phone is one of the best features on phone that helps you track your lost phone, well, unless it is switched off and reset in hard way. Google’s Find My Device feature will help you locate your device remotely. In this guide, we will help you how to setup this feature. Go to [Settings]>[More settings]>[Security & Privacy]>[More security settings]>[Security]>[Device Manager]. Make sure that ‘Find my Phone’ is turned on.
- Go to Find my Phone page, sign in to your Google Account.
- Click on device that you want to find.
- If the device is on, you will see the location on map.
- If the device is off, you will get last known location on map.
There are three options in ‘Find my Phone’ page:
- Ring your device at full volume for 5 minutes. Doesn’t matter if phone is in vibrate or silent mode.
- Lock your phone. You can set a lock, if you had never set a phone lock.
- Erase all data on the phone. This will remove all data on device (may not clear SD cards).
To deactivate ‘Find My Device’, go to [Settings]>[More settings]>[Security & Privacy]>[More security settings]>[Security]>[Device Manager] and disable this feature.
