Toshiba announce sleek new Satellite Radius notebooks
Toshiba Satellite Radius is a new series of 2-in-1 convertible form factor PCs that will be available in 14” and 15.6” sizes. Featuring precision 2-axis hinge that allows the display to rotate full 360 degrees, the Radius can be used in laptop and tablet modes without the need to detach the display from dock. These models come with dedicated Cortana key for easy access to personal digital assistant from Microsoft.
Radius 14 is priced at $584.99 while Radius 15 that comes with 4K UltraHD display is priced at $842.99. Both will be available for purchase from 21st of June 2015. Windows 8.1 is preloaded on Radius 14 and 15 and both are eligible for free upgrade to Windows 10 on July 29.

We believe that by offering new thin and light designs, screen options in resolutions from HD to 4K and a range of new, affordable price points, we’re playing our part in further fueling the growth potential of this category.”
The display on Toshiba Radius 15 comes with 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution (282ppi) and is among the first consumer laptops that come with a 4K Ultra HD display panel. This coupled with built in Harman Kardon stereo speakers and DTS Sound plus exclusive Slipstream port tech that reduces distortion, multimedia will be fun on this PC. Radius models are designed to take full advantage of features that Windows 10 brings in. The HD webcam and TruTalk dual array mics provide superior video/voice instructions/calling for apps like Cortana, Skype.
Satellite Radius 14 is powered by either a 4th gen Intel Core processor or an AMD APU which Radius 15 is offered to have Intel Core CPUs. Othere features include illuminated keyboard, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 ports, SD card slots, USB Sleep & Charge tech (to charge USB devices even when the laptop is in sleep or power off mode).
