Toshiba announce refresh of Satellite C series notebooks
Satellite C series is a lineup of mainstream laptops from Toshiba. Satellite C series will come preloaded with Windows 8.1, will be upgraded to Windows 10 and are powered by Intel or AMD processors. Similar to Radius series laptops, these models will come with dedicate button to activate Cortana, Microsoft’s personal digital assistant software. The Satellite C Series laptops will be available for purchase on June 21, 2015 at major retailers, e-tailers, starting at $394.99 MSRP.
“Our new Satellite C Series laptops deliver stronger price-to-performance in the entry-level category, giving everyday consumers what they need to stay productive and entertained without breaking the bank,” said Philip Osako, senior director of product marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. “These laptops include built-in forward-looking hardware features, so when customers are ready to upgrade, they can automatically start taking advantage of the new functionality in Windows 10.”
Satellite C series will come in 15.6” and 17.3” display sizes and both will have HD TruBrite display panel (720p resolution). Toshiba is offering up to 1TB of storage and up to 8GB of memory for this series and there are USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI ports. There is an SD card slot and a DVD SuperMulti drive (would’ve been better if this came with Bluray drive).
