Toshiba announce new wearable biological sensors under Slimee brand
At International Modern Hospital Show 2015, Toshiba, the Japanese electronic giant has demoed their wristband-like biological sensors, Slimee S20/W21 . Slimee S20 and W21 will measure activity, sleep, conversation, heart beat as well as ultraviolet light. A smartphone application will then record and manage this data. Those who need emergency medical help can hit a button on a sensor simultaneously and the paired smartphone will send a notification registered organization. The tracker also comes with a microphone. Slimee W21 comes with a built in GPS to track user’s location.
Slimee Bar Type Lite is a new low-price model of biological sensor Slimee Bar Type that was released back in May. The sensor can be attached to the chest and can measure breathing interval. Priced at ¥85,000, the new wearable will be available in the market soon. Slimee W21 and S20 on the other hand will be releasesd in the month of September.
