System76 Oryx Pro is a super powerful Ubuntu notebook

Oryx Pro is one of those truly rare notebooks. Powered by 6^th Generation Core processor (up to Core i7), the Oryx Pro notebook comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-Series GPU. But this is not what makes the notebook a rare model. The Oryx Pro comes with Ubuntu 16.10 or 16.04 pre-loaded. Yes, this is a super powerful notebook that comes  with Linux OS pre-loaded. Priced at $1,449/-, the Oryx Pro can be purchased from System76.

Oryx Pro comes with aluminum body with black brushed finish. The keyboard supports multi-color backlighting. The concave keys come with right amount of travel to assist fast typing. The Oryx Pro can be purchased with 15.6” size display or you can go with bigger 17.3” display. Buyers can pick 4K HiDPI resolution panel. It will be really interesting to see how Ubuntu scales on a 4K resolution laptop display.

The Core i7+ Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 will pack a punch. The sad part is that there are not enough number of games for Linux to take full advantage of the power of this combination. But hey, if you are really into gaming, you can dual boot with Windows+Linux.
