Synaptics is bringing pressure sensitive touch panels to the world.

This is great news for Android fans. The last weeks, the blogosphere was bombarded by news about Apple’s ‘Force Touch’ a.k.a ‘3D Touch’ pressure sensitive display panel that comes on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Synaptics, the leading developer of human interface solutions has made sure that Android (and Windows Phone) fanbase will not sit red faced for too long. ClearPad® ClearForce™ is the new force sensing solution for Synaptics that allows OEMs to recognize variable force application (with a finger or stylus) on display panel. Syanptics currently working with leading OEMs and LCMs to get their variant of Force Touch out in the world soon. We think that the next flagship smartphones from leading brands in Android will come with force touch.
