Sony Mobile Communications (“Sony Mobile”) today unveiled Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra upper midrange phones and the Xperia L2 budget smartphone. Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra will launch on Android 8.0 OreoTM shipping from February 2018, with Xperia L2 on Android 7.1.1 Nougat from late January 2018.

Xperia XA2 – capture life’s beauty with sophisticated Sony camera technology in a sleek, borderless design
Sony Xperia XA2 main feature is powerful 120 degree super wide angle 8mp front facing camera. The rear camera too is rather powerful, thanks to 23mp 1/2.3″ Exmor RS sensor. As expected, the rear camera supports 4K UHD video recording, 120fps slow motion video capture. The display is a 5.2″ FullHD display, protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass. Xperia XA2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset and supports quick charging. Sony also incorporated smart charging technologies; Smart Stamina extends usage during the day, with Battery Care and Qnovo Adaptive Charging ensuring the battery stays healthy over time.
Xperia XA2 will be available in Single SIM and Dual SIM in select markets, in four fresh colours: Silver, Black, Blue and Pink. The devices come with a rear mounted fingerprint reader (a first from Sony for USA market). The chassis is made of anodized aluminum on the side, diamond cut finish at top and bottom and with smooth screen curvature.
Xperia XA2 Ultra is the ultimate “dual selfie” camera smartphone
Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with 16mp OIS lens and 8mp 120° super wide-angle lens and has a front facing flash for better low light selfies. Rear cameera has a 23mp sensor with 1/2.3” Exmor RSTM mobile sensor that is capable of ISO 12800 sensitivity.
The Sony Xperia XA2 comes with a 6″ FullHD display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. There are no side bezels but Sony continues with fat top and bottom bezels. Similar to Xperia XA2, the XA2 Ultra has rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The “loop surface” design is also composed of anodized aluminium on the sides, with the same recognisable diamond-cut finish on the top and bottom. Battery is rated at 3,580mAh and supports Quick Charing. Xperia XA2 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 630 chipset. Xperia XA2 Ultra will be available in Single SIM and Dual SIM in select markets, in four contemporary colours: Silver, Black, Blue and Gold.
Xperia L2 on the other hand comes with a 5.5″ 720p HD display. The 120° super wide-angle 8MP front camera is built for selfies, with its 13MP F2.0 rear camera ensuring clear and crisp mobile photography.
The 3,300 mAh battery means you can do more of what you love for longer, and intuitive Xperia smart charging technologies ensure the battery stays healthy during its lifespan. Xperia L2 will launch in Single SIM and Dual SIM in select markets, in three colours: Black, Gold and Pink – each rendered with reflective surfaces, emphasizing the “loop surface” design, and unlocking is made easy with a single touch via the rear fingerprint sensor.
