Sony release Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium in India
At last, Sony fans in India will be able to purchase the new flagship smartphones, the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Premium. Xperia Z5 will come with Dual SIM card slots and will be priced at 52,990/- while Z5 Premium will be priced at around 60,000/- and those who pre-book this phone will get free ‘noise cancellation’ Bluetooth earphones worth Rs. 5,490/- (http://www.sonymobile.com/in/z5-offers/terms-prebook/). Xperia Z5 is already available for sale and Z5 Premium will be available from 7th of November. The Xperia Z5 Premium comes with a 5.5″ 4K resolution display and we feel that the price tag is justified but Xperia Z5 comes with inferior specs when compared to the competition and this price will make it a Dead-on-Arrival model.
Do remember that even that Galaxy S6 and LG G4, the prime competition for Xperia Z5 costs nearly 15k less. There are few offers from Kindle, sony music, hungama play, HDFC bank 5000/- cash back, Smart Cover Worth Rs. 3,500/- , quick charger in box bundle etc. It just looks like Sony is not interested to learn from its mistakes. Z5 arrives half a year late, is grossly overpriced and we would rather suggest you to buy Z5 Premium instead as, though you pay 7-8k more than the Z5, you get much better deal as you get the premium headset.
