Sony announce Xperia Z3+ smartphone powered by Snapdraon 810
Sony has today announced global launch of Xperia Z3+, the successor to their 2014 flagship Z3 smartphone. The Z3+ is an incremental update to Z3. Powered by octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with Adreno 430 GPU, Z3+ has a 5.2” FullHD Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine to delivery rich content to the screen. The Z3+ will be available for sale from the month of June in single SIM and dual SIM variants and pricing detail is not released yet. Similar to Z3, the Z3+ is dust and water resistant and is rated IPX5 / IPX8. The best feature though is the new PS4 Remote Play compatibility that lets users to seamlessly switch from Playstation 4 console to smartphone as long as both are on same network. The Sony Xperia Z3+ will be available in White, Black, Copper and Aqua Green color options.
There is 3GB of RAM to feed data to the super powerful Snapdragon 810 GPU and there is 32GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. At launch, the Z3+ will come preloaded with Android 5.0 version. Coming to camera department, there is 20.7mp rear camera (Exmor RS sensor) that can do 4K video recording and the 5.1mp front facing camera will please selfie addicts. The front facing camera has Exmor R sensor and 25mm wide angle lens.
As expected, Z3+ supports 4G LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual band Wi-Fi, BLuetooth 4.1. The built in 2930mAh battery should give sunrise to sunset battery back up on heavy usage.
