Softcard launches NFC based payment system for Windows Phone users in USA

Windows Phone users can finally use NFC based payment system, thanks to Softcard. In USA, Softcard (joint venture of AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile) is supported at over 200,000 outlets. You can download the application from Windows Phone application store. Do note that this is only for users in USA and will need a compatible smartphone that has built-in NFC chip and an enhanced SIM card that can store and protect your payment information in a secure manner. The application is free to download and is 17MB in size. Apart from payments, Software will also list offers from participating merchants on your phone and loyalty cards are offered at select stores.

HOW TO PAY

Paying with your phone is easy.
1. Open Softcard and enter your PIN
2. Select a payment card to use
3. Hold the back of your phone over the contactless symbol on the terminal at checkout
