Smartron t.Phone going on sale from 28th July
Ths Smartron t.Phone is finally ready for sale in India. The first sale will happen on 28th of July 2016. Smartron had taken the veils off its first smartphone, the t.phone earlier this year at a grand event in Hyderabad. Sharing the dias with the company’s investor and brand ambassador, Honorable Minster KT Ramarao launched the t.phone. Founder and CEO of Smartron, Mr Mahesh Lingareddy, spoke in length about Smartron and t.phone. Smartron is committed towards bringing the Indian technology innovation to the world stage. About 10000 first batch units of the t.phone will be manufactured in China and soon after, Smartron will get them produced from India. Like the t.book, the t.phone is a product exclusively conceived and designed in India. Unlike current Indian brand that sell phones by re-branding low cost Chinese models, the t.Phone from Smatron is designed entirely in-house and we will soon publish our review of the phone.
It is powered by Snapdragon 810 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It is touted to be one of the thinnest and lightest mobiles available in the market today. It weighs just 146 grams and just 7mm thick. It will be available in 4 different colors. The device sports 4 way mic for better voice recording and noise cancellation. It has USB-C port for charging and data transfer.

The t.phone is priced at Rs 22999. The t.phone is available to buy from gadgets360.com and Smartron’s own website. It will also be available on retail channel. Honestly, the pricing could have been a bit more competitive. With this pricing the t.phone competes heads on with Mi5, Vibe X3 or even the year old OnePlus 2. It is no doubt the right pricing for the specifications and features that the t.phone brings to the table. But in this highly competitive market, cut-throat pricing is what will make a new brand/product become a mass hit. We will soon come up with a detailed review of the Smartron t.phone. We will check out if the mobile is really worth the price tag.
