Say Hello! to Moto One Fusion+
Moto One is a product line from Motorola with mid-range mobile offering unique features to the customers. Moto One Fusion + is the newest member of that family. Moto One vision, Moto One Action, Moto One Macro each of these mobiles had a unique feature and though I liked them, I always felt that those mobile are not addressing everything the customer wants. Finally, Moto One Fusion+ is here to be the value for money mobile with everything that a customer is looking for in the mid-range segment. Moto One Fusion+ is now launched in India for Rs 16999 and I believe that this is going to be a revolutionary product. Let me tell you why

Moto One Fusion+ is about 210 grams and 9.6 mm thick. It is heavier than most mobiles in this segment, but it houses a massive 5000 mAh battery and a 64 MP + 16 MP quad-camera sensors along with a pop-up mechanism. All this tech inside the mobile warrants for the thickness without increasing the price. It is made of good quality plastic and has a glossy finish. It is available in 2 colors: Twilight blue and Moonlight white. The single loudspeaker at the bottom is louder than an average mobile in this segment and it reached about 110 dB max. But the quality of sound is commendable. The fingerprint sensor at the back is fast and accurate. The Moto One Fusion+ does not have an IP rating, but it has the basic Moto Nano coating for protection against minor liquid caused damages. I feel Moto has done a good job in the design department.
The display is a full vision bezel-less display which Moto calls the Total vision. This is the first mobile from Moto with a pop-up camera and I am personally a huge fan of the pop-up camera. It paves way for a notch-less display and in my experience, I have never seen or experienced any mechanical pop-up camera. It is an FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a screen to body ratio of 84%. The bezels are a bit thick, but I would take that compared to having a notch of any kind obstructing my view on the display.
The 64 MP camera on the rear and the 16 MP on the front are both quad-binned cameras, giving them the ability to click impressive low light images. The 5MP macro sensor and the 8 MP UW cameras are a good addition, but its time the industry sheds that 2 MP depth sensor for some other meaningful lens like a Tele lens. The primary camera is capable of shooting up to 4K videos and at 30 fps, both 4K and 1080p videos have EIS. The camera UI offers modes like Slow motion, Timelapse video, Hyperlapse video, Electronic Image Stabilization Ultra-wide: Timelapse video, and Hyperlapse video. Check out a few camera samples below.
Moto One Fusion+ does not fall under the Android One program. Rumors are that the Android One program is shelved. But Moto has got the stock android experience on the Moto One Fusion+. It runs on Android 10 out of the box and Moto has promised a minimum of 1 major update. Apart from the usual Moto gestures like chop-chop and twist, there is a new set of features called the My UX. My UX, lets you customize the look of the UI by changing the icon shapes, layout, font, wallpapers, etc…
With all these features, the mobile is powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 730G with 2.2GHz octa-core Kryo™ 470 CPU and 700MHz Adreno™ 618 GPU. It has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage and its the only variant. It runs on a 5000 mAh battery with an 18W Turbocharger in the box. With all these features Moto One Fusion+ looks like the best option for an Upper-Mid range mobile in the under 20k segment.
Moto One Fusion+ sure has a few short-comings. It does not have face unlock and it missed out on the orientation sensor again. But as they say, there is not perfect mobile out there, but Moto One Fusion+ is near perfect and these shortcomings also pave way for the next mobile from Moto to be even better. I will cover my experience and performance of the Moto One Fusion+ in my detailed review, but for now, this is an impressive mobile and it feels that Moto is back in business. Hello Moto!
