Samsung and Apple may have had a rocky relationship for a few years now, but it looks like that is still not going to change the fact that Apple will continue to place orders with the company for its components. According to a report by Bloomberg, the Korean giant has bagged an order to make the next generation of chips for Apple’s products.

The chipset is Apple A9, taking over from the current gen Apple A8. Apple will use the new A9 chipset in the next generation of iPhones and iPads. These new products are expected to be launched in the third quarter this year if we are to follow Apple’s current release timeline. An iPhone 6s and 6s Plus and the next iPad generation is expected to arrive by September.
