Samsung unveils Galaxy Wide with 5.5 inch display
Samsung has unveiled its latest smartphone in the Galaxy series, the Galaxy Wide at an event in South Korea. The device has been priced at KRW 319,000.
The Samsung Galaxy Wide runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device features a 5.5 inch (720×1280 pixels) TFT display with a pixel density of ~267 ppi.
The device is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 410 clubbed with 2 GB of RAM. The device comes with 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB using microSD card.
The device comes with a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus and flash. On the front, there is a 5 MP secondary camera for selfies. The device is quite similar to the Galaxy On7 and carries the model number SM-G600S, which is quite similar to the Galaxy On7.
The device is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery which the company claims can provide up to 12 hours of video playback time, up to 78 hours of audio playback and up to 21 hours of talk time. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n 2.4GHz, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and NFC.
Currently, the device has been launched only in South Korea. There is no information about global availability and pricing.
