Samsung unveils 2016 Ultrabooks
Samsung’s next generation of thin-and-light laptops powered by Intel Skylake processors and Windows 10 software have been unveiled.
The new 2016 laptops are extremely compact. The 13.3 inch Samsung 900X3L weight just 1.9 pounds and measures about half an inch thick, while the 15 inch Samsung 900X5L measures about 0.6 inches thick and weighs about 2.9 pounds.
Samsung will probably announce these laptops at CES next week. According to South Korean documents, the company will offer at least 6 different models with 1920 x 1080 pixel displays.
The various variants are:
- NT900X3L-K24P with Pentium 4405U, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD
- NT900X3L-K58 with Core i5-6200U, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD
- NT900X3L-K78L with Core i7-6500U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
- NT900X5L-K24P with Pentium 4405U, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD
- NT900X5L-K38L with Core i3-6100U, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD
- NT900X5L-K58 with Core i5-6200U, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD
The 13.3 inch models will have 30 Whr battery support and micro HDMI ports. The 15 inch laptops will have 39 Whr batteries and full-sized HDMI ports with mini Ethernet ports.
The Samsung NT900X3K-K36 has a 13.3 inch, 3200 x 1800 pixel display, an Intel Core i3-5005U processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB SSD. This laptop comes with 44 Whr battery due to its power hungry screen. It weighs about 2.4 pounds.
