Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) Announced
Samsung has unveiled a new edition of its Galaxy Tab A tablet. After introducing the Tab A 7.0 (2016), it has now launched the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016).
The tablet will be available in Germany in June. It has been listed on the company’s Netherlands website. There is no information on the global availability of the tab.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features a 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) TFT display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7870 processor clubbed with 2 GB RAM.
The Android 6.0 powered tablet comes with 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The tablet comes in Wi-Fi and LTE variants priced at EUR 289 and EUR 349 respectively and will be available in Black and White colors. The only difference is that the LTE variant comes with SIM card and supports 4G LTE.
The tablet sports home button and menu buttons below the display. It measures 254.2×155.3×8.2mm and weighs 525 grams.
The tablet comes with an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. There is a 2-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture on the front.
The device is powered by a 7,300mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Glonass, and Micro-USB. The LTE variant will also support 4G.
