Samsung Galaxy S6 sets AnTuTu on fire, reveals some specs
The successor of the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S6, is setting AnTuTu benchmarks on fire. In a leaked screenshot and benchmarks details of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6, we’re in for some beastly performance and wild benchmarks.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is going to be unveiled in less than a month’s time, but we couldn’t help but post this story because it’s that exciting. The Galaxy S6 will come with a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display, ramming in 2560×1440 pixels. Samsung hasn’t bumped up the screen size, which is a pretty good thing to see. Samsung has belted out pretty good panels recently, so expect great colour reproduction as well.
The camera department may not surprise us just yet in terms of pure megapixels – there’s a 20 MP sensor on the back and a 5 MP on the front. It’s quite expected, but we’ll know more about this only during the official reveal. The RAM and ROM are 3 GB and 32 GB, so no surprises there either.
The most interesting bit is the processors – Samsung will be shifting away from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon line this time, due to overheating concerns in the Snapdragon 810. Samsung has instead decided to use its own Exynos chips this time. The Exynos 7420 is an octa-core processor, with a combination of four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 CPU cores. The graphics will be handled by a Mali-T760 GPU. Together, they achieve a score of nearly 61,000, besting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 by a long shot.
