Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 edition announced
Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 edition is now official. Powered by Exynos 7420, the A8 2016 edition has a 5.7″ FullHD display and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS at launch. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Released in Korea, the phone is priced at KRW 649,000 (around 600$ US). We do not have any detail on when Samsung will release this phone in India. We do hope that it is released in India sooner.
Phone with 5.5″-5.7″ is the new craze these days and Samsung has been the master in this segment (thanks to the super hit Samsung Galaxy Note series). The Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 edition has a 5.7″ AMOLED panel with really thin bezels. The octa core CPU and Mali T760 GPU should keep the phone’s UI snappy. The display is Always On Display (can be disabled to save battery life) and the 3300mAh battery can power the phone for a day. Samsung went with Grace UX (not TouchWiz) over Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Coming to optics, the phone has a 16mp rear camera and an 8mp front facing camera.
