Samsung CFG70 and CF791 are curved displays with Quantum Dot tech
Samsung CFG70 and CF791 are two new curved displays from the Korean electronics giant that comes with a wide curved panel. The CFG70 will be available in 24″ and 27″ sizes and the CF791 is a 21:9 aspect ratio 34″ display. Samsung CFG70 and CF791 come with 1800R and 1500R curvature respectively. Both come with LED backlighting, AMD FreeSync support to appeal gamers. Samsung CF791 is priced at $999, 27″ CFG70 is priced at $499 while 23.5″ CFG70 is priced at $399
“Incorporating the same quantum dot technology found in our incredible TV lineup, the CFG70 and CF791 monitors are poised to deliver the most realistic experience for gamers and consumers alike,” said Andrew Sivori, Vice President, Consumer IT Marketing at Samsung Electronics America. “In addition, we’ve bolstered color accuracy, refined the display curvature and significantly reduced MPRT (Moving Picture/Pattern Response Time).”
Displays with Quantum Dot Technology can display vivid and crisp colours yet consume very less energy. These two monitors can hit 125% sRGB spectrum. The Samsung CFG70791 and CF791 are compatible with AMD FreeSync technology and attain screen refresh rates ranging from 100Hz (for CF791) to 144Hz (for CFG70). AMD FreeSync also reduces input latency, stutter and log to produce uniform and smooth game play experience.
