Samsung announces Exynos ModAP next gen SoC
Over the weekend, Samsung revelaed the successor to Exynos 5 series os SoCs, Exynos ModAP. ModAP comes with LTE Modem-AP soultion (providing 4G LTE connectivity) for the first time in Exynos lineup. ModAP is manufactured using 28nm HKMG process and supports various mobile network standards. ModAP also takes photo and video recording capabilites to next level with new advanced Image Signal Processing. Given the decline in smartphone sales for Samsung and rise in popularity for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series, it willb e interesting to see how Samsung will take the fight to competition.
