Samsung announce new 850 EVO mSATA and M.2 SSDs
Samsung has announced the launch of 850 EVO M.2 and 850 EVO mSATA SSDs and has set things in motion to launch these in 53 countries. Both the SSD drivers are based on Samsung’s new 3D V-NAND technology that increases density and improves performance. These SSDs will be available for OEMs soon.
850 EVO mSATA will be available in capacities from 120GB to 1TB and will have 540MB/s read speed and 520MB/s write speed. 850EVO M.2 will be available in capacities from 120GB to 500GB and will have 540MB/s read speed and 500MB/s write speed. Both feature AES 256-bit hardware encryption. 500GB and 1TB variants will have TurboWrite technology that let the drive offer upto 88K IOPS random write speed and 97K IOPS random read speed.
