Redmi K20 Pro vs Oneplus 7 Pro vs Oneplus 7
Redmi K20 Pro was just announced in China. It is expected to be launched in India soon. It may be launched at Poco F2, if the rumors come true. Redmi K20 Pro is teased as the true flagship killer. Oneplus was the first among the breed of flagship killers. With the launch of Oneplus & Pro, they took a leap and joined the flagships. But they also retained their flagship killer crown with their Oneplus 7 pro. Now there are many mobile brands lined up to kill the killer. Asus Zenfone 6 is like a searing bull, waiting to be let out of the cage. We know everything about the Zenfone 6, except its pricing in India. Similarly, Redmi has launched K20 and K20 Pro in China and we are not sure about its pricing or branding strategy in India.
With what we know and with what is shown on the papers, let us compare the Redmi K20 Pro with Oneplus 7 and Oneplus 7 Pro.

Looking at the spec sheets, it looks like the Redmi K20 Pro is placed somewhere between Oneplus 7 and 7 Pro.
Design
All three mobiles have glass body design and they weigh between 180 and 210 grams. They have a premium design with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Of all these 3 mobiles only Oneplus 7 still has the notch. The rest have moved on to a notchless display and the selfie camera tucked away under a motorized raising system. Design is highly subjective, I would leave it to you to choose according to your personal liking. But the Redmi K20 is the smallest mobile of them all, but it is the thickest. The Oneplus 7 strikes a sweet balance with dimensions and ergonomics.
Display
This does not need any further discussion. Oneplus 7 Pro has a beast of a QHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. The other 2 mobiles have full HD+ resoltion. They all have AMOLED panels with optic under display fingerprint display. But Oneplus 7 Pro display walks away with a clean win in the display department.
Camera
The primary sensor of all three mobiles are the Sony IMX 586 48 MP sensor. While it would be a criminal offense in the court of tech blogging to assess a camera’s capability based on its mega pixel count or sensor used, we choose not to talk about the quality of the camera. But in papers, Oneplus 7 Pro has a 16 MP wide angle lens and a 8 MP Tele lens. K20 pro has a 13 MP wide angle lens and a 8 MP tele lens. The front camera specs are also up in the sheet, but the Oneplus 7 Pro is the least exciting mobile of all, due to it is basic 5 MP depth sensor and lack of framing versatility. But judgement is reserved here, until we get to compare the shots from these mobiles.
Under the hood
Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 is the CPU/GPU combo under the hood. All three mobiles are powered by DDR4 RAM, but Oneplus 7 and 7 Pro are on UFS 3.0 storage type while the K20 pro is on UFS 2.1. Oxygen OS is a mature system with a stable and stock experience with loads of features baked in. MIUI is a solid skin for Android mobile, but Xiaomi is not ready to ship them without Ads. We do have a way to deal with the ads, but it is what it is. Personally, I would speculate that the performance of these three mobiles would be very close to each other and any user would not find drastic difference in real world usage.
Battery
Zenfone 6 comes with a massive 5000 mAh battery, but with what we are comparing here, Oneplus 7 takes advantage with its 4000 mAh battery and FHD+ display. K20 Pro has a 3700 mAh capacity while the OP7 Pro’s 4000 mAh would give you lesser screen on time with his tasking display. But when it comes to charging speed, K20 pro and Oneplus 7 Pro would be charged in an hour and the Oneplus 7 with a 20 W charger in the box, would take slightly longer.
