Realme 2 released in India
Realme 2, the much awaited budget smartphone is finally revealed. At a grand event today, Oppo’s Realme 2 is out in the open and is priced at Rs. 8,990. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, the Realme 2 comes in two variants (3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB).
The phone comes with various launch offers. Those who own HDFC credit/debit card will get Rs.750/- discount. Jio is offering Rs.4,200/- cashback in the form of vouchers.
Given the price, the specification of the phone is decent. The problem is that the display is 6.2″ in size and has low 1520×720 pixel resolution. The battery though is pretty good, rated at 4230mAh. At launch, the phone will come with Android 8.1 Oreo onboard. Oppo’s Color OS 5.2 overlay UI is used for Realme 2. Oppo has also announced that a “Pro” variant is coming but no further detail was provided.
