Philips and Razer created the best room lighting setup for gamers who love to see their desk setup’s RGB lighting extended to lights in the room. Philips Hue is one of the best in smart LED lights that can emit various colours of lighting. Razer’s Chroma RGB lighting system is the best lighting system that generate colorful keyboard/mouse backlighting. This was made possible by integerating Philips Hue Entertainment API and tools with Razer Chroma lighting ecosystem.
Take a look at this amazing video that Philips and Razer created to showcase the new enivronment created based on new lighting system.
“We’re excited about this first integration to bring Philips Hue Entertainment to life for consumers. We have seen high demand from gamers for a richer game-play experience,” said Chris Worp, Business Group Leader Home at Philips Lighting. “Our smart lighting can deliver just that. Philips Hue takes the content beyond the screen and extends it into the living room. For gamers, this ‘surround sound for your eyes’ is incredibly powerful when synced with the Razer Chroma-enabled devices.”
Gamers can now sync their Philips Hue multi color capable smart lighting with Razer Chroma enabled devices (laptops, keyboard, mice, mousepads, speakers etc) and extend the lighting effects from the desk to the room. The lighting effects can be created to have dynamic in-game effects for games like Overwatch, Quake Champions etc. One need to get the Philips Hue V2 bridge to create the bridge between Hue and Chroma. Coming to software, one need to upgrade Philips Hue application, Razer Synapse software.
“Razer Chroma is the world’s largest lighting ecosystem for gaming devices, and with Philips Hue, we are transforming the gaming experience in the home,” says Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan. “This takes gaming immersion to a whole new level that has never been seen before.”
