Polk Audio announce Signature Series loudspeakers

Polk Audio has announced Signature Series collection of floor standing tower, center and bookshelf speakers that are created based on Polk’s top of the line home entertainment system(s). The Signature series is the first Polk Audio line to receive Hi-Res certification and also has Polk’s Power Port tech. The Signature series  has S60, S55 and S50 floor standing speakers, S35 and S30 center channel speakers, S20, S15, S10 bookshelf surround speakers. The Signature Series will be available for purchase at polkaudio.com as well as ABT, Amazon, BestBuy, Crutchfield, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and other national retailers.

Polk Signature S60 tower speaker comes with 1″ Terylene tweeters , 6.5″ mica-reinforced polypropylene cones. The tweeters can deliver 40Hz frequency sound to support high res files. Curvilinear formers and advanced ceramic motor structure further low frequency response and reduce resonance. This improves midrange performance for clear vocals and instruments. The cones come with butyl rubber surrounds, ceramic motor structures and high temperature Conex fiber spiders to produce clean and linear basis, low distortion. The patented Power Port design transitions air flow from speaker’s port to listening area and extends bass port. The extended bass port creates great surface area to eliminate turbulence and distortion.

S55 comes with two 6.5″ mid range drivers. S50 comes with 5.25″ drivers. In short, S60 and S55 comes with four drivers and S55 comes with three drivers. The cabinet for all models is made out of right and acoustically inert strong all-MDF material.

Coming to center speakers, the S35 and S30 come with 1″ Hi-Res Terylene tweeter. S35 has six 3″ cones while S30 has two 5.25″ cones. Both come with dual power port tech, 3dB higher bass response output when compared to traditional bass port. The S35 comes with six driver array while S30 has a two driver arrays. S35 can be used as a left, center or right speaker.

The S20 bookshelf speaker comes with a 6.5″ polypropylene cone while S15 comes with 5.25″ cone. Both also have a 1″ Terylene tweeter. As expected, S20 and S15 have Power Port.

S10 is a new surround speaker with a 1″ Terylene tweeter, single low distortion mica reinforced 4″ polypropylene cone. S10 also comes with the Power Port for improved bass response. complement any multi-channel home theater configuration.
