Poco F1 : How to lock applications to avoid unauthorized use
There are certain applications in our phones that we do not want others to use. When one has kids at home who love using your phone, it is a safe practice to setup locks for applications as phone lock/unlock pin is not enough. App lock in MIUI lets you unlock all or specific applications so that when the app is opened, you are prompted for unlock password.
Open Security application from app drawer.
If you opened app lock for the first time, you have to configure a new password else you can enter your password that is configured for app lock.
You will now see list of applications that you can lock.
Select apps that you want to lock. Click on ‘set password’ (if this is the first time you are using app lock). You can also use fingerprint unlock.
While in app lock settings page, click on settings icon in top right corner.
From this page, you can enable fingerprint unlock, change the password you had set for app locks. You can also unlock all applications at once.
Once app lock is enabled for an application, when you open that application, you will be prompted to enter password.
In this case, we enabled app lock for YouTube and as you can see, password prompt came up and the application is waiting to be unlocked.
