Panasonic P100 entry level smartphone released in India
Panasonic P100 is the new entry level smartphone, released in India earlier this week. Priced at Rs.5,299 for 1GB RAM and Rs.5,999 for 2GB RAM option, the P100 is available only on Flipkart. Panasonic P100 comes in Blue, Black, Gold and Dark Grey colour options.
While 1GB RAM is pretty much useless in the year 2018, the 2GB RAM variant seems to be a decent deal. The Panasonic P100 comes with a 5″ 720p display and has a 2.5D curved glass (Gorilla Glass) on top. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6737 chipset and has 16GB of on-board storage. To expand storage, P100 comes with microSD card slot.
“P100 is a smart device power packed with unique value-added services and features. It is targeted towards millennials who look for a smartphone which is a one-stop solution for their daily needs. Boasting of not only advanced camera setup but also an elegant and superior design, P100 is an all-around package at an extremely affordable price.”, said, Pankaj Rana, Panasonic India Mobility Division Head.
Panasonic P100 comes with an 8mp rear camera and a 5mp front facing camera. The battery is rated at 2200mAh and should easily last for a day given the lower power specs of the phone. The phone though weighs 174.8 grams even though the specs are modest. Other specs include microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4, 802.11 b/g/n. At launch, the phone comes with Android 7.1 Nougat operating systems.
