Oppo N1 gets official CyanogenMod 11S support
Oppo N1, announced back in 2013, has finally received official CyanogenMod 11S support. The N1, which launched with an innovative rotating camera lens can be finally upgraded to Android 4.4.4 KitKat based CyanogenMod 11S. The company took a long time to push out the new update for the N1, now when even Android 5.0 Lollipop has been out for more than 5 months.
The Oppo N1 launched with Oppo’s custom Color OS skin based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Being the first phone made out of collaboration between Cyanogen Inc and Oppo, the N1 may have been neglected till now, considering the fact that the last update the N1 received was CyanogenMod 10.2 based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The CyanogenMod 11S update is an official update, so this will not void your warranty as such. You can also use CyanogenMod 10.2 or Oppo’s own Color OS if you so wish.
The CyanogenMod 11S update for the Oppo N1 can be downloaded here. Head over to the Oppo forums if you want to know more.
