In Oppo ColorOS 5.2, there are three ways to update your device.
But before you update your phone, make sure that:
- Battery level is above 40% and make sure phone doesnt switch off.
- Do not use your phone or power off your phone.
- Do not root your phone as that voids warranty.
Go to [Settings] > [Software Updates] and enable automatic updates, make sure that updates are downloaded only when you are on Wi-Fi. This way, when there is update, you will get notification to download and install udpates.
- Connect your phone to Wi-Fi network. If you want to update over mobile network, please check update size to make sure you do not end up using all of your mobile data quota.
- If automatic update notification is on, you will get notified of new updates.
- Tap on notification and start update.
- If not, go to ‘Settings’, select ‘Software Updates’.
- If there is an update, download and update the firmware. The process is pretty straightforward.
- During and after the update, the phone will reboot multiple times.
