Oppo A71 2018 variant released in India

Oppo A71 2018 variant is now official in India. Priced at Rs.9,990/-, the new phone is already available on Flipkart. The phone will be made available on other online stores soon. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, the Oppo A71 has a 13mp rear camera and 5mp front camera with AI Beauty Recognition feature.

Oppo A71 2018 comes with Color OS 3.2 (Android Nougat 7.1) at launch and has a 5.2″ 720pHD resolution TFT display. There is 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage onboard the phone. Those who want more storage can use microSD card (dedicated slot). The rear camera has f/2.2 aperture while the front camera has f/2.4 aperture.

As expected, the Oppo A71 2018 variant comes with dual SIM card slots, supporting 4G VoLTE. There is 3000mAh battery that should give enough power to last a day. Other specs include 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, microUSB port, 137 gram weight, Bluetooth v4.2 etc.

Oppo has been struggling lately due to heavy expansion of Xiaomi in retail channels and also due to underwhelming models. The Oppo A71 2018 looks like a decent model but given that phones that cost just 1k more come with faster chipset, FullHD display, better looks etc, it will be a challenge for Oppo to get good sales for this phone.
