Omega launches Seamaster Diver 300m for Rio Olympics
Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA, the official timekeeper for the Olympics since 1932 is maintaining its tradition this year too. OMEGA has already set the winning standard in watchmaking.
To celebrate the excitement and anticipation of the Olympics, the company has taken sports timekeeping to another level by announcing the launch of the Seamaster Diver 300M Rio 2016. The company has announced that it will make only 3016 units of the watch.
Presented on a stainless steel bracelet, the timepiece is driven by the exclusive OMEGA calibre 2500 and is water resistant up to 30 bar (300 metres / 1000 feet).
The upgraded and enhanced Seamaster Diver 300M Rio 2016 features a uni-directional rotating diving bezel that is made from black polished ceramic. What sets this watch apart from its previous models, are the lacquered numbers in red, green, yellow and blue, which represent the exuberance of Rio as well as the five colors of the famous Olympic rings.
Other features of this timepiece are typical of the iconic OMEGA Seamaster 300M style. These include a date window at 3 o’clock, a helium escape valve at 10 o’clock, and polished faceted skeleton rhodium-plated hands coated in white Super-LumiNova.
The screw-in caseback has been embossed with the “Rio 2016” logo and engraved with an individual Limited Edition number on the reverse side of the polished and brushed stainless steel case.
