Olympus PEN E-PL8 interchangeable-lens camera announced
Olympus PEN E-PL8 compact interchangeable-lens camera is announced this week. The PEN E-PL8 comes with 16 megapixel Live MOS sensor, TruePicVII Image Processor and supports Olympus OM-D lenses. The Olympus PEN E-PL8 will be available in black, white and brown beginning in October 2016 for an estimated street price of $549.99 USD / $649.99 CAD for the camera body only and $649.99 USD / $749.99 CAD for the 14–42mm IIR kit.
Olympus PEN E-PL8 comes with rounded body, embossed Olympus PEN logo, detailed metal dials and metal/leather grained finish. Users can choose from white, black and brown color options. The LCD monitor can be flipped 180 degrees and supports touch input. The camera also has built in Wi-Fi, images can be shared to Olympus Image Share application on Smartphone.
Thanks to OM-D series lenses and TruePic VII Image Processor, Olympus PEN E-PL8 can take high quality photos in high resolution with excellent low light performance and color reproduction.
