New Google Wallet app released, focuses on sending and receiving money
Google has been working hard on its payments service for a while now. After announcing Android Pay, Google has finally revamped its Google Wallet app.
Giving it a visual refresh while taking away the complexity from the app, Google is now renewing its focus on simplifying the Wallet app. Initially, Google Wallet let you manage your cards, browse offers from partners and redeem any points you may have accumulated. However now the new Google Wallet app will just do two things – send and receive money. With the Google Wallet app on Android and iOS, you will now be able to send money to anyone in the US with an email address – being a Wallet user is not necessary.
Apart from that, you can also transfer your Google Wallet balance to your linked card or bank account. Google also announced the continuity of its Google Wallet Card service, allowing you to transact with it anywhere MasterCard is accepted. You can even use it to withdraw money from ATMs or transfer money to your linked card or bank accounts.
