My take on the leaked prices of Oneplus 7 Pro
It is hard to launch a mobile without leaking a few details prior to the launch. Especially when the whole world is looking forward to it. Oneplus is all set to launch the Oneplus 7 Series globally on May 14th and we will be at the event in Bangalore to witness the unveiling of the most expected mobile of 2019. We have a few details about these mobile ahead of the launch. Some has been officially announced and most others leaked on social media.

Leaked price
But the biggest news is the leaked pricing of the Oneplus 7 Pro. Ishan Agarwal, a leakster whose inside information has turned out to be positive in the past, has leaked the price of Oneplus 7 Pro along with detailed specification.
According to Ishan Agarwal, Oneplus 7 Pro will be launched at ₹ 49,999 for the base 6GB+128GB and ₹ 52,999 for 8GB+256 GB, while the top end 12GB+256GB goes to ₹ 57,999. These are not official pricing and take these leaks and rumors with a grain of salt.
My Take
If this pricing turns out to be true, Oneplus will be entering new territory, already chartered by the likes of Samsung and Apple. So far, Oneplus has been a flagship killer and they have been launching mobiles that compete with the top end flagships, by offering similar specifications at a fraction of the price tag. But with the Oneplus 7 Pro is turning into that top end flagship mobile. In
Now Oneplus 7 Pro will be seen alongside these flagships. I don’t see Oneplus 7 Pro as competition for Galaxy S10e or iPhone XR. I see it as a competition for the Galaxy S10+ and iPhone XS Max, at a price point of S10e and XR. Oneplus has proved that they can deliver faster performance and better-looking mobiles with much better battery performance than the top end flagship mobiles. Now they have to prove that they can deliver superior display and a better camera than the likes of Galaxy S10+ or the iPhone XS Max. Oneplus has built a very strong image and a staunch group of
Don’t forget about the Oneplus 7
While it is natural to get excited about the Oneplus 7 Pro, don’t forget about the Oneplus 7. While many are already screaming on the social media that the Oneplus 7 Pro is expensive, yes, it is expensive. It is a new series. It is not the direct successor to the 6T. Oneplus 7 is the true successor to the 6T. It will be priced similar to the 6T, in my opinion. Consider the 7 Pro as a new mobile series from Oneplus and it will be nothing like we have seen so far from their stables. Oneplus 7 will have no bells and whistles, but it will be the affordable flagship killer of 2019.
Stay tuned for more details and detailed review of the Oneplus 7 / 7 Pro.
