MSI Vortex is the new flagship gaming desktop from MSI
MSI Votex is a brand new flagship gaming desktop from the Taiwanese gaming product maker that is set to compete with the likes of ASUS RoG and Dell’s Alienware products. The MSI Votex is powered by an unlocked 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor and the top end variant comes with NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 980 graphics in SLI, delivering serious level of gaming performance. The cheaper version will come with GTX960 graphics in SLI. While the cheaper variant costs $2100, the top end model costs whopping $3,999.
The top end variant comes with latest bells and whistles that make it worth every penny. The chassis looks absolutely stunning (though the design is taken from the Mac Pro, it looks much much better) and though the MSI Votex is priced this high, the technology built into it makes it worth every penny.
The MSI Vortex is just 10.5″ high and weighs just 8.8 lbs. Thanks to the dual GPU setup, users can play latest games in stunning 4K resolution and MSI has also added native support for VR gameplay experience. Users can add up to six displays to turn your gaming room into a massive command centre. MSI has added support for NVIDIA Surround View to make gaming look surreal.
MSI came up with cyclone airflow design to efficiently cool the hardware. There is a single large size fan that draws in cooler air and at the same time pushes hot air built inside the chassis, out. The 80 plus Gold certified PSU is also designed to use less energy and dissipate less heat. AC01535 wireless also supports full MU-MIMO wireless mode.
Other great features include Killer Doubltshot-X3 pro Ethernet E2400 ports and Wireless AC-1535 entworking. You can pull network from all three lines at the same time for higher network bandwidth and better game streaming quality.
MSI has released Dragon Center application for smartphones that can be used to adjust performance of the Votex, monitor the status and change the lighting.
